First Floor (Track Maker / Record Shop) Hitoshi Murakami & Takahiro Ishitobi
First Floor is a music project began in 2016 by Hitoshi Murakami and made it’s debut in 2018 with You Dubn’t Know EP on Sweden’s renowned Local Talk label, run by Mad Mats and Tooli.
The project expanded when bassist Takahiro Ishitobi came on board, bringing a rich mix of Funky and Jazzy influences to the sound. In 2020, they released Unrequited Feelings EP on the UK underground label Quintessentials, earning recognition in Mixmag for their distinctive style.
In the same year, First Floor launcehd Secret Room Club 835 to explore new connection with audiences.Since then, they have hosted secret parties at undisclosed times and locations and curated eclectic sets blending House, Funk, Disco, Dub, Reggae, Ambient, World, Classical, and Contemporary music.
In 2023, they started a record shop First Floor Records, dedicated to House DJs. The store features classic 90s House cuts while offering tracks across other genres that inspire DJs.
